Functions and fields of application of our self-service terminals in detail

Targeted planning of resources and minimising of waiting times – the self-service terminals by OAS automate the operational procedures of your company in yard management and in the control of incoming lorries, which considerably increases efficiency:

External service providers, such as the drivers of lorries, can use the self-service terminal to call orders independently and to carry out weighing and loading on their own. The driver signs the shipping documents directly on the touch screen of the self-service terminal to print them immediately. Data processing on the spot absolutely reduces the administrative and processing expenditure because you do not need to manually enter the order and shipping documents again into the system. Moreover, all data from the virtual memories in the terminals are available as electronic data immediately and plant-wide. This leads to easy management, maximum transparency, and monitoring.
The user interface of the self-service terminal is available in several languages: the driver simply selects the desired language for the dialogue by touching a flag on the welcome screen. The multilingual dialogues are simple and comprehensible. Where possible, icons and graphics are used instead of dialogues.
They are of a rugged design and, therefore, suitable for daily use on industrial yards. The touch screens for use in daylight also allow an outdoor installation within the scope of the yard management. Since the terminals are adjustable in height, the drivers may control all functions from the driver's cab, as well. Upon customer request, special functions, such as document scanning, pager handling, or biometric identification (e.g. by finger print) can be integrated into the system.
Development and construction of the self-service terminals are effected on the premises of OAS AG and are based on our treasure trove of experience gained in this business segment over 25 years.
