For a leading Scandinavian stainless steel producer, we are supplying a yard management system for the efficient handling of plant logistics processes at its West German site.
In future, this will be carried out using our logis yard management software. The aim of the implementation is to increase process reliability and transparency as well as to improve resource utilisation through self-service processes and shorter throughput times for the trucks. Another advantage for our customer is that only those lorry transports can enter the plant that can be processed directly at their destination.
Relief for our own staff thanks to self-service processes
The self-service processing of driver registration, safety instruction and document receipt and issue is carried out via our OAS Logistic Terminals. This relieves the company's own employees of time-consuming routine tasks. In future, drivers will be able to register themselves independently via the OAS Logistic Terminals, will be called up as required via a large screen display to enter the plant and will be able to check in and out independently and leave the plant again after receiving the relevant documents.
