For an international steel company with 150 years of tradition, we are implementing a combined track and truck scale solution for weighing trucks and wagons. The customer specialises in steel products with high technical demands and produces, among other things, high-quality rolled steel for the automotive industry at its site in North Rhine-Westphalia. The measure is being carried out as an extension of a previously installed OAS Yard Management solution for the efficient organisation of the increasing truck and rail traffic on the factory premises.
With the added scale solution, outgoing transports can be handled even more efficiently and with shorter lead times in the future. Due to the changed plant logistics concept, railway wagons can now be weighed statically and calibrated on a combined truck scale in addition to classic trucks.
Special features of our truck scale - type GFW
Due to the individual production method of our track / vehicle scales, we are able to reproduce all common rail profiles in addition to the different bridge sizes. Especially the possibility to mount the scales on a clean layer allows a very short mounting time. Due to its high reliability, the delivered scale solution achieves an availability of over 99 percent.
