We are modernizing the process control system and PLC automation for the Swiss production site of a multinational food company. In future, the production of powdery and pasty products as well as dressings at the site will be carried out using our pronto production control system.
As the site also produces semi-finished goods for other Group production sites, our pronto process control system (MES) also offers a comprehensive track-and-trace function for semi-finished goods. This provides an overview of available quantities, storage locations, expiration dates, ripening times, etc. at all times. The respective bookings are made efficiently using a hand scanner. The labels required for this are automatically generated by the system and placed on the trolleys and big bags. This ensures end-to-end traceability of the raw materials used and seamless material bookings in the higher-level merchandise management system.
Thanks to pronto's consistent digital-first approach, production will be completely paperless in future. This means that all production data can be accessed in real time. This creates transparency for processes and systems and forms the basis for optimal data collection and analysis.
