We are implementing an efficient and integrated self-service solution for weighing vehicles at its locations in Germany for a recycling and waste disposal service provider which, according to its own information, is one of the top ten companies in the waste disposal industry. In the course of a long-standing partnership in the supply of truck scales and weighing technology, we are now intensifying our cooperation with the customer in the field of self-service solutions for truck drivers.
Efficient and fast handling of truck drivers by OAS Logistic Terminals
In an initial pilot project, the foundation was laid for the development of a uniform standard for the customer's various locations. The focus of the self-service solution is the efficient and fast processing of truck drivers at the various locations through our OAS Logistic Terminals. Both the company's own driving personnel and externally commissioned haulage companies can be used. In this way, performance processes on the truck scales can be handled more quickly without additional personnel. It is now also possible to extend the operating hours for own driving personnel.
Seamless integration into the customer's ERP system
With order-related weighing, the driver only has to hold a barcode/QR code in front of the scanner to trigger the weighing process quickly and easily. In addition, we can address individual characteristics of orders to enable specific queries from the driver. Following the successful weighing process, a weighing receipt is provided to the driver. Downstream processes such as sampling can also be initiated at the self-service terminal. Thanks to the seamless integration into the customer's ERP system, the data is immediately available for further processing or billing.
